This course is not done by application, it is by regular registration. It is entirely dependent on your registration date if you are able to register for this class or waitlisted.
This course focuses on nursing assistant and home health aide skills/concepts performed under the direct supervision of a nurse. It is designed to provide a foundation of basic nursing care including vital signs, transfer and feeding techniques, bed making, hygiene, and environmental safety. Communication skills, cultural awareness, and sensitivity as well as client rights and safety will be stressed. Application of these skills will occur in a skilled nursing facility and assisted living facility. Successful completion of the course qualifies the student to take the CA State Certification Exam.

Course requirements include high school graduation or GED, Social Security number and ability to pass a background clearance.
Once you are enrolled in this course you will be required to have a current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Providers; Health Clearance including physical exam and TB testing; Background clearance (this is done after your admission to the course in-house) and Social Security Number required.
