2   From the California Community Colleges Recommended 10-11 Standard Student Budget Ranges
2   Due to the high cost of living in San Jose, we continue to use the 10-11 maintenance budget

Budget Adjustment Policy

The EVC FAO uses the California Community Colleges Recommended 10-11 Standard Student Budget Ranges for the maintenance (room & board) component. This component allows for $3132 for food and $8424 for housing.  For students who declare that they support themselves with less than $2400 in a year and that they will continue to support themselves in the same manner for the academic year, the housing portion of the component will be removed.  This will be done on a case by case basis, depending on the student explanation on the Verification Worksheet.
