Language Arts

At Evergreen Valley College, the Language Arts Division includes the instructional departments of English, ESL, Foreign Language and Reading. It also includes the Language Arts Center, which provides support in the form of supplemental labs for ESL, Reading and Writing courses. Additionally, three ethnic-specific support programs plus the Honors, Learning Communities and Service Learning Programs are in the division. The division office is located in the Roble Building, in room RE-206. The dean of the division, Dr. Linda Girard can be found in this office as well as a very friendly staff, all of whom are ready and willing to provide information and assistance.
