Study Computer Science at EVC

A degree in Computer Science at EVC, will prepare students with the foundation necessary for continuing their studies at the university level in Computer Science and related subjects. Students who complete the AS-T in Computer Science will be prepared to pursue baccalaureate degrees in areas such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cybersecurity. Career paths could include Computer Programmers, Software Engineers, Database Administrators, Data Scientists, Cybersecurity Analysts, and Educators..

Transfer to a CSU / UC

Students looking to transfer to a UC and continue with a degree in Computer Science can do so at places like UC Davis, Cal, UC Santa Cruz, UC Davis, UC Irvine or UCLA. 

If you enroll in an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) program at EVC, you can transfer to a CSU and graduate with only 120 units.

STEM Tutoring

STEM Tutoring and other essential student learning services are available at either the Math and Science Resource Center (MSRC, MS-112; for Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or the Biology Skills and Tutoring Lab (AF-164;  for Human Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Earth Science). Please check below for hours.

Tutoring at both centers is provided by Math and Science faculty, classified professionals and student tutors.  The sole purpose of STEM tutoring is to provide extra, outside classroom assistance and guidance so students will become independent learners, and to succeed.
