Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program

• Scholarships worth up to $30,000 per year to community college students to help them earn a four-year degree.

• The Sallie Mae Fund offers a variety of scholarship opportunities.

A.W. Bodine-Sunkist Memorial Scholarship

• Provides funds for undergraduate students from agricultural backgrounds who are in need of financial assistance to further their educations.
  
• Award amount varies but averages $2,000 per academic year.
  
• Application materials available in the EVC Financial Aid Office.
  
• Application deadline is April 30, 2012.

Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship

• $10,000 scholarships awarded to encourage television careers that further the values and principles of Fred Rogers’ work.
  
• Eligible majors include:
  
  1. Early childhood education
     
  2. Child development/child psychology
     
  3. Film/television production
     
  4. Music
     
  5. Animation
     
• Application deadline is February 29, 2012.

DegreeDirectory.org Undergraduate Academic Business Scholarship

• $1,000 scholarship is meant for students who are pursuing business academic majors.
  
• Application deadline is April 1st, 2013.

AES Engineers Scholarship

• $500 Scholarships are intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
  
• You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
  
• Application deadline is October 5th, 2012.

Silicon Valley Power’s Scholarship Award Program

• Three $5000 and one $2000 scholarship for students pursuing education and professional development in public power and/or energy related fields
  
• Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Resident of the City of Santa Clara and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident 
  2. Possess a high school diploma or be a high school senior
     
  3. Be enrolled in a community college, 4-year college or university or in a fully licensed or accredited technical school
     
• Application deadline is April 30, 2012.

The Chicana Latina Scholarship Fund

• $1500 scholarships to assist Latina students in completing their undergraduate and graduate college education. These scholarships are available on a competitive basis to continuing undergraduate and graduate female college students of Latino background.
• All scholarship recipients are required to attend the Leadership Institute.
  
• Application deadline is March 16, 2012.

AARP Foundation Women’s Scholarship Program

• Scholarships ranging from $500-$5000 open to low-income women 40+ years old used for tuition and books and paid directly to the school.
  Eligibility criteria
  
1. Women age 40 or over by March 30, 2012
   
2. Those able to demonstrate financial need
   
3. Those enrolled in an accredited school or technical program within 6 months of the scholarship award date.

LIFE Lessons Scholarship

• $5000 and $1000 scholarships to benefit college and college-bound students ages 17-24 who have suffered the death of a parent or guardian.
