- All students must complete an Application for Admission. Students may be required to complete the Supplementary Residency Questionnaire. Students. Students are subject to the residency rules as established by Title V of the California Educational Code of Regulations. The completed forms may be submitted to the Admissions and Records Office.
- As early as possible, students eligible for financial aid or veterans benefits should contact the appropriate college office for assistance.*
- New students should complete the matriculation program before registering for classes. The program includes orientation, testing, and advisement.
- Students may register for classes using STAR REG, the telephone registration system. Instructions for using STAR REG are included in the class schedule published for each semester. An in-person registration is also scheduled 2 weeks prior to each semester. Fees are paid at the time of registration.
- Students must purchase their textbooks. The Evergreen Valley College Campus Store is open before, during, and after registration. The Campus Store has lists of all books required for each class. Save all receipts in case you have to return or exchange a book.
* In accordance with federal government mandate, students without a high school diploma or its equivalent, who are 18 years old or older, who are planning to enroll in a degree, certificate or transfer program, and who have fewer than 60 college units, must take the "Ability to Benefit" test to be eligible for federal financial aid. Contact the Assessment Center for further information.
To make an appointment for the ATB (Ability to Benefit) Test for EFL (English as a First Language) students should contact the Assessment Center.
The test consists of 3 different examinations: Reading, Writing and Math
Minimum passing Score: Reading-61, Writing-31, Math-21
