Hardware and Software Minimum Requirements

The following are the minimum hardware/software requirements for using WebCT as a student or designer:

Microsoft IE 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.0 SP1; 6.0 SP2 (XP SP2)
Netscape 7.0, 7.1, and 7.2
Firefox 1.0
Mozilla 1.7
AOL 9.0

Recommended Plug Ins
Some courses require you to have plug-ins installed on your computer so that you may be able to view certain content. Below is a link to plug-ins that you might need.

Operating System Windows 98 or higher
Processor Pentium-class, minimum 133 MHz (megahertz) or faster
Memory (RAM) Windows 98 - 32MB (megabytes) or more.
Windows ME - 64 MB of RAM or more.
Windows 2000 or XP - 128 MB or more
Available Hard Disk space 10 GB (Gigabytes) of hard drive space is adequate. 100 MB minimum space is needed for online learning
Modem Speed 28.8/33.6 (kilobits per second) minimum, 56K recommended
Browser Version Netscape Communicator 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x and up
Monitor 14" Color monitor or larger
