Dual Enrollment


​Evergreen Valley College offers various early-college opportunities for K-12 students, allowing students to complete college courses while still enrolled in middle or high school. 

Dual Enrollment is currently offered in two different ways:

  1. Concurrent Students
    Eligibility: any high school student or student attending an adult education or GED program
    - Enroll in college class at their own accord
    - Enroll in open courses
    - Take up to 11 units for Fall/Spring
    - Take up to 7 units for Summer
    - Do not pay enrollment fees
  2. College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) students
    Eligibility: student attending a high school in partnership with EVC through a CCAP agreement
    - Enroll in a closed, cohort-based course
    - Take classes that may be held at the high school
    - Take up to 15 units per semester, or up to 4 courses (CCAP courses only)
    - Do not pay enrollment fees

Benefits of Program

  • Students are exempt from paying enrollment fees
  • Take classes beyond what high schools offer, earning college credit
  • An accelerated path to and through college, saving time and money
  • Students who complete even a single college class are more likely to graduate from high school, attend college, and earn an Associate's degree or higher.

Steps for dual enrollment students

1. Apply to Evergreen Valley College

Complete your application online. You will receive an email from EVC with your 7-digit EVC ID # and username within 72 hours.
IMPORTANT: If you do not receive a Welcome Email, please contact Dual Enrollment Program with your with your full name, DOB, and Confirmation # of your application.

Returning students: If you did not attend EVC in the last two major semesters (Fall & Spring), you must reapply as a new student.

2. Determine courses of Interest

Consult with your school counselor to find out what courses are being offered and choose what course(s) you would like to take.

Refer to the schedule of classes to see what will be offered in the next term. You must adhere to any prerequisite requirements. Dual Enrollment students are not eligible to take PE or basic skills courses.

3. Submit a Special Admit Form to Admissions & Records

You must have permission from your legal guardian and high school to take courses at EVC. You must also attach your most recent unofficial transcript, and/or any additional documentation to show you have met any prerequisites.

Middle school students must be recommended by an official from their school and must attach a recommendation letter to their Special Admit Form. 

You will receive an email from EVC with next steps. If approved, you will receive instructions on how to enroll via your MyWeb account (available on Single Sign-On). 

4. Access your Single Sign-On (SSO) Account

You will use your SSO account for the following:

  • MyWeb (Student Portal: allows you to register/drop classes, request transcripts, etc)

  • Canvas (Classroom Portal: allows you to access your class, complete homework, tests, etc)

  • MyHealth (Proof of Vaccination upload required to take classes)

Instructions for first time users:

  1. Your Username and Student ID was emailed to you when you applied to EVC. Generally, your username will follow this format: username@stu.evc.edu

  2. To setup your password, type in your username and then do the following:
    • Click on Unlock/Reset Password
    • Click on Reset Forgotten Password
    • Enter your date of birth in the format dd/mm/yyyy (yes, you have to type in the /slashes/ too) and Student ID
    • Enter new password and confirm, click continue to logging in
    • Setup security questions in case you get locked out in the future, click ontinue to logging in
    • (Optional) setup mobile phone or skip
  3. Click on desired application you are trying to access.

5. Submit Proof of Vaccination

All EVC students attending class in person must be vaccinated against the Coronavirus disease 2019, also known as COVID-19.

Students may now submit their proof of vaccination electronically by accessing EVC’s MyHealth portal.
