About Leaf by Leaf
Leaf by Leaf is an annual literary magazine that publishes every Spring. Founded by Sterling Warner and curated by students in our Creative Writing English 072 course, Leaf by Leaf has been a staple of EVC's creative voice for over 45 years.
EVC's Leaf by Leaf Magazine and the Spring 2026 Fundamentals of Creative Writing cohort hope to provide our community:
- An environment which cultivates faucets and facets of expression.
- A platform for our myriad voices to be heard.
- A space for people to experiment.
- A collection of works for inspiration.

Support the Creative Arts
We would greatly appreciate donations from current SJECCD staff and faculty to the Leaf by Leaf foundation. Any community contributions will be used to:
- Fund the Leaf by Leaf Magazine release party, including providing food, awards, and decor for our community to enjoy.
- Promote the magazine through open mic events to encourage students, staff, faculty, and community to share their voices and inspire creativity.
