Improving Student Success and Equity Through Service-Learning
With growing concerns about access, student success, completion rates and the widening gaps in educational opportunities for community college students, instructors today face enormous challenges. Service-Learning is a teaching methodology that helps instructors meet those challenges directly.
The Center for Service-Learning and Public Service is committed to helping faculty members integrate Service-Learning into their curriculum. We have created a Canvas Tutorial with information, tools and resources to assist faculty who are new to service-learning as well as those that are experienced practitioners.
The Canvas Tutorial contains videos, guidelines for course designs, and reflections assignments. We also provide one on one instructions and assistance in updating your syllabus and establishing community partnerships to meet your course student learning outcomes.
