Can family join in on the celebration?

  1.  We encourage you to invite your family to be in the car with you during the drive-through celebration. Family members cannot drive through the parade in their own vehicle. If everyone cannot fit within one vehicle, we have set up a special area where family members can cheer for you. Zone 7 highlighted above will be for family members only. All family members wishing to cheer on graduates in this zone must park in Student Parking Lot 8 and must enter from the Faculty and Employee entrance highlighted on the map above. Please note, they will not be able to enter through the Yerba Buena Campus Entrance. Please provide the above map so they know where to enter campus.  All family members must wear masks regardless of vaccination status and will be asked to keep a social distance from anyone not within the household.

Drive-Thru Celebration Parade

The Celebration Parade will take place on Thursday, May 20th beginning at 12:00 pm. Students will take one final drive around campus as we cheer them on. As students enter the San Felipe entrance, they will be met with cheers from the first group of faculty, staff, and administrators. Students will proceed down the back road behind Automotive, Acacia, and Sequoia, before arriving in Student Parking Lot 6. In Student Parking Lot 6, they will receive their graduation gifts, honors chords (if applicable), and receive more cheers from participating faculty, staff, and administrators. Those faculty, staff, and administrators who plan to take part in the celebration parade will need to arrive on campus no later than 11:45 am. Individuals who RSVP will receive an email confirming their RSVP and the celebration zone they have been placed into. Depending on the celebration zone, individuals will either need to park in Staff Parking Lot 3 or Staff Parking Lot 7. There will be signs directing you to the lineup location. You are welcome to wear your cap and gowns during the celebration or you can rock EVC gear. In keeping with current CDC regulations, all individuals must wear a face mask and maintain a 6 feet distance between others. We expect the parade to conclude around 2:30 pm.
