Next Steps Workshops are for admitted students only. Workshops discuss why students should choose campus, an overview of the campus resources, critical dates and deadlines, and what students can expect between now and when classes begin, Fall 2021. This is not an advising session and attendance is not mandatory.

Also, SJSU is hosting Transfer Tuesdays at 2pm: Live Next Steps Workshops for all Admitted Transfer Students for Fall 2021 starting Tuesday, March 16 at 2pm. 

Note: students should be notified of their provisional admission by latest March 1st.Students who need immediate assistance can visit SJSU Virtual Front Desk: sjsu.edu/soar
Provisional admission means a student has received acceptance to either their primary or alternate major at SJSU. Students must complete the Next Steps by May 1st to keep their admission for Fall 2021 and take action on items posted on MySJSU to-do list

This is a presentation for all students who have been admitted to Sacramento State for the Fall 2021 semester. During the presentation an Admissions Counselor will review next steps in order to maintain your admissions. We will discuss the admissions process, submitting final transcripts, important dates and deadlines, reviewing the Student Center, accepting your financial aid, and more!

Learning Outcome: After attending the CSU Application workshop, students will increase skills for completing an online application. Workshops will include a page-by-page overview of the Cal Apply online application system. Check-list (student must get documents ready before)

---Test Scores (Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, A-Level, TOEFL or IELTS exam scores)

---CCCID and Campus ID: Every California Community College student is assigned a campus-specific ID number. These numbers should be printed on EVC Unofficial transcript.

UC Merced Representative: Application Virtual Workshops 

A UC Merced representative will meet with students for an in-depth session on filling out the University of California system-wide application. The discussion will include what applicants need to know about the factors that UC Admissions considers and what to avoid, and will clear up any confusing aspects of the application. There also will be time set aside to discuss Personal Insight Questions.
