Free tuition and zero student fees: Must register for at least six units. This offer applies to all in-state, first time, continuing, and returning students, including high school students, who are California residents or AB540.
Fifteen4Free is an exciting opportunity for eligible students who take 15 or more units in the Spring 2024 semester to receive up to $1,500 credit for the EVC campus bookstore to cover textbooks and course materials.
All students need to apply for financial aid in order to be considered for free tuition, zero student fees and Fifteen4Free for Spring 2024.

This applies to all California and in-state first-time, continuing, and returning students including high school students.
How will I know if I will receive free tuition and zero student fees?
Beginning Monday, January 22, 2024 we will begin checking students eligibility requirements to determine who is eligible for free tuition and zero student fees. Eligible students with a balance due will receive a credit on their account. The credit will remove the cost of tuition and fees for Spring 2024. Students can log into Self Service – Student Finance to check their balance.
Must students be California residents, in-state students or AB540 to quality for free tuition and zero student fees?
Yes. Students must be California residents or in-state students to quality for free tuition and zero student fees. Students who are designated as AB540 students by the Admissions & Records Office are also eligible.
Are high school students eligible for free tuition and zero student fees?
Yes. High school students enrolled in dual enrollment are eligible for free tuition and zero student fees.
Are out-of-state students eligible for free tuition and zero student fees?
No. Out-of-state students are not eligible for free tuition or zero student fees.

Students must register for classes for Spring 2024 by February 11, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Eligible units for free tuition and zero student fees is based on units enrolled in on Monday, February 12, 2024.

What fees are covered by the free tuition and zero student fees offer for Spring 2024?
Tuition (also known as Enrollment Fee), health services fee, student activity fee, student representation fee, and VTA EcoPass fee (bus pass) will be covered for Spring 2024 only.
Are parking fees covered by the free tuition and zero student fees offer for Spring 2024?
Yes. Students who purchased a parking permit will receive a refund if they are eligible for the free tuition and zero fees for Spring 2024.
Will students who paid for tuition and student fees be eligible for a refund if they are eligible for free tuition and zero student fees?
Yes. Students will receive a refund for the tuition and student fees paid prior to being eligible for free tuition and zero student fees for Spring 2024.

An Orientation will provide you with general information regarding EVC's services and programs such as transfer and degree requirements, vocational programs, and student services, as well as academic expectations, facilities, and resources available to you. You are required to complete the orientation either online or in person.
