The 2025 fiction in Leaf by Leaf offers a range of voices and genres, from comic to sobering. Haunted places and supernatural bargains sit alongside tales of war and stories of memory and loss. Each piece looks at how ordinary people respond when their lives are suddenly upended, sometimes with humor, sometimes with heartache, and always with a distinct point of view. Together, these student and community stories show the imagination and range of the Evergreen Valley College writing community.
