​​​Become an EVC student in 5 easy steps!

For Continuing Students

4 Steps to ensure that you stay on track towards achieving your educational goal!

  1. Identify a major/career.  Utilize the following web-based exploration tools:
    • CAcareercafe.com
    • CAcareerzone.org
    • Eureka.org (The California Career Information System). You will need to register on-line to use this site. The EVC Site ID Code is XBOYLKS. Eureka provides information on college majors, descriptions of occupations and much more.
    • EVC Degrees & Certificates / Major Sheets
    • O*NET Find out about different careers
    • OOH​ Occupational Outlook Handbook – This site provides the complete content of the OOH published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. It describes the education and training for over 200 occupations
  2. Meet with a counselor after completing 15 degree applicable units to develop a Comprehensive Student Education Plan (CSEP)​

  3. Manage your academic progress on MyWeb. See below for instructions: Student Guide to Ed Planning.pdf

  4. Petition for your assoc​​iate degree​ and/or apply for transfer​  

Express Walk-in Services

Express Walk-In Services counseling sessions are for quick questions only. A maximum of 15-20 minutes is allocated to meet with a counselor to discuss the following services: 

    • Assessment Retest Referral

    • Excess Units

    • EVC Test Score Interpretation

    • EVC College policies and procedures

    • Transferability of Courses

    • Sequential EVC Coursework Verification ​

Counselors are available for 15-20 minute sessions on a first come, first serve basis. Note: Students will be seen on a rotating basis. *Hours subject to change **Depending on the number of students waiting, the sign-up list may be cut off prior to posted closing hours.
