As a Bridge to STEM scholar, this program is designed to help you:
  • Apply to a 4-year university 
  • Apply to scholarships and financial aid
  • Build a clear transfer plan
  • Engage with mentors and support networks
  • Explore STEM career pathways
  • Grow a sense of belonging within your STEM major/career
*Participant Expectations:
  • Attend a minimum of 6/7 program sessions
  • Complete all required pre- and post-surveys
  • Meet with an EVC academic counselor at least once during duration of the program
  • Transfer to a 4-year University, on a STEM track, within 2 years of completing the Bridge to STEM program and provide proof of transfer documents.
*Scholars who transfer to a 4-year University on a STEM track within two years of completing the Bridge to STEM program will receive a $1,000 stipend from the Hispanic Foundation of Silicon Valley. This stipend is contingent upon the scholar meeting all aforementioned participant expectations and required actions.
