Honors Program

Become a Hawks’ Honor Student

image with floatWhat does it mean?
Students take on an extra project in a course they are taking. This is not a project for extra credit and you do you receive a grade on it. It is for students who go above and beyond the designated course to prepare them for upper division classes at the four-year level. There is no limit to the number of honors classes you can take.

Honors courses can include:

  • Astronomy
  • Biology
  • Environmental Science
  • History
  • Math

Or other subjects as long as you get prior approval from your instructor.

Benefits of Being an Honors Student

  • Priority Registration
  • Honors designation on your transcript
  • Prepares you for upper division UC/CSU course work.
