Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in our partner High Schools, Yerba Buena, and W.C. Overfelt in their preparation for college entrance and enrollment.

Summer Residential Program

The Summer Residential program stimulates a six-week college-going experience. Students engage in five weeks of college courses and one week at a university residence hall with Upward Bound program participants and staff. Students engage in cultural, academic, and extracurricular enrichment to establish a college-ready foundation to succeed in college.

  • Program Eligibility
  • First-generation and Low-income
  • GPA of 2.5 Cumulative (3.0 incoming freshmen)
  • Incoming 9th grader or up
  • Desire to be in program
