Overview.

Humans are made to explore. Evergreen Valley College’s Astronomy program can help you reach for the stars. We will provide the necessary foundation for you to succeed in careers in the life, physical, environmental, and social sciences. Evergreen Valley College is home to the Montgomery Hill Observatory, which consists of two facilities: a classic dome observatory, which is the home of an 8" refractor telescope, and a contemporary roll-off-roof observatory, which is the home of a 14" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope.

You could be a part of what you've only dreamed about in science fiction. Take astronomy classes at EVC and discover the explorer in you.

The EVC Astronomy Department also offers Free Public Stargazing nights at the Montgomery Hill Observatory every 2nd Friday of the month (weather permitting).  Join our online Meetup group "Starry Evergreen" to receive information about upcoming events and special astronomical occasions (registration is free).  For further information, please email Rick Francisco.
