2025-2026 ASG Election Results
ASG President: Silvano Navarro
Candidate Statement:
Hello, my name is Silvano Navarro. I am running for your ASG President.
For some background, I am a first generation college student; I have struggled in the past with finding resources, community, and opportunity. However, I became involved in school by starting a student club, becoming a leader in student government and pursuing my computer science degree. I started to prosper.
My goal as future ASEVC President is to help students find these avenues for success easier. By utilizing my networking, public speaking, and team building skills, I hope to bring community, opportunities, and advocate for student needs

ASG VP of Finance: Thomas Xie
Candidate Statement:
My Name is Thomas Xie, and I am currently the Secretary of EVC's Associated Student Government. As Secretary, I've seen firsthand how a strong student government strengthens connections between faculty and students, creating a more unified and engaged community. I am running for Vice President for Finance to continue serving our community through responsible and transparent financial management. With my experience in organization, communication, and leadership, I will ensure that financial resources are used effectively and fairly to support student activities, clubs, and events. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the community and making a positive impact.

ASG Trustee: Ariana Estrada
Candidate Statement:
My name is Ariana Estrada, and I am running to serve as your 2025–2026 Student Trustee. I am committed to fully representing student concerns across our campus community. As a former dual enrollment student, I understand the challenges with class scheduling and now, as a STEM student as well, I am aware of even more challenges that impact us. This is why I am determined to advocate for solutions to scheduling conflicts. Many students are unaware of this, but there are now after-hours facility charges for clubs and extracurricular activities that are hurting students, so I will also advocate for reducing this. Finally, I want to help develop a Maker Space/Science and Art Museum for learners of all ages to enjoy. I am informed, determined, and dedicated to ensuring that your voice is heard and acted up. Thank You!

ASG Senator: Mashal Razai
Candidate Statement:
Hello Everyone! My name is Mashal Razai, and I will serve as your Senator for Campus Events and Activities. I'm a first-year biology major on the pre-med track, hoping to become a dermatologist. In my free time, I enjoy going out with friends, hiking, and reading book, with my favorite genre being contemporary literary fiction. As your senator, I am committed to advocating for better resources, creating more inclusive events, and ensuring every student feels heard and supported.

ASG Senator: Diego Espinoza
Candidate Statement:
I am running for the position of senator because I am interested in the betterment of the school and for a better experience for students. I would like to have the opportunity to represent students from the special programs. I am a member of OASIS, Aspire Plus, EOPS and it is a great opportunity to be part of those programs. Without them, I do not know if I would have had the guidance and insight I have. They have helped me, and I believe I must help the students in special programs. I am hopeful that I will be able to create a meaningful impact on that population of students.
