Important Dates to Remember

February 13, 2024- Grad Fair Day

11:00am-2:00pm, Gullo II

Come stop by Gullo II to get all the information you need to prepare for your big day. Herff Jones will be present to answer all your questions about ordering your Cap and Gown and other graduation items. We will have one of our amazing counselors present to speak to students about the grad petition process. You will be able to schedule your appointment to meet with a counselor to complete your Grad Petition on the spot. In addition, we will have gifts for Graduating Students, a 360 Photobooth for you to take photos with your friends, and Free Food!

March 22, 2024- Last Day to Submit Graduation Petitions

There are three ways to schedule your Grad Petition Appointment:

1. Visit Grad Fair on February 13th or February 21st inside Gullo II.

2. Stop by the Counseling Office located in SC-250 to schedule your Grad Petition appointments or to ask any questions you may have related to the Grad Petition process.

3. Call the Counseling Office at (408) 270-6475 to schedule your Grad Petition appointments or to ask any questions you may have related to the Grad Petition process.

 

Remember this is the last day to submit your Grad Petitions. Do not wait until this day to schedule your Grad Petition appointment.

March 29, 2024- Last Day to Pre-Order Cap and Gowns

Cap and Gowns pre-order with shipment to the EVC Bookstore ends at 8:59 pm PST on March 29, 2024. Pick-up of pre-ordered Cap and Gown orders will occur beginning the first week of May. 

Students who do not pre-order their Cap and Gown can still purchase their cap and gown directly from the EVC Bookstore beginning the second week in May.  

Graduates also have the option to order their cap and gown for direct delivery to their homes. The deadline to order Home Ship is Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 8:59 pm. The Home Ship option shipping cost is $14.90.

May 12, 2024- Last Day to RSVP for Commencement and Request Grad Tickets

Students must RSVP by this date and submit their ticket requests to participate in the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 24, 2024. No exceptions will be given after this date.

Students can RSVP via the MarchingOrder website link received in their email or by visiting http://evc.marchingorder.com. Students will need the code provided to them in their email so please make sure to check your email regularly after submitting your grad petition. Please also ensure that your email address on file in Admissions and Records is accurate and up to date.

May 23, 2024- Graduation Practice

For those interested, the Office of Student Life will offer a practice graduation at 4:00 pm in the EVC Soccer Stadium. This will be an opportunity for graduates to see how the flow of the day will go, where to check in, how to cross the stage, and to answer any last-minute questions you might have.

You can RSVP to participate in the practice graduation through your MarchingOrder profile.

 

May 24, 2024- THE BIG DAY

Your graduation will take place in the EVC Soccer Stadium. 

Parking Lot 9 (the closest Lot to the Soccer Field) will be reserved only for Graduate Parking. Please read through the EVC Graduation Guide for other recommended parking lots for guests. 

All graduates must arrive and be checked in by 5:30 p.m.

4:00 p.m.- Graduate Check-In

5:30 p.m. Graduate Check-In Ends

5:45 p.m.- Graduate Line Up Begins

6:00 p.m.- Graduation Starts

Cap and Gown Information

Interested in pre-ordering items for your graduation such as your Cap & Gown, Graduation Announcements, Class Rings, and More? Evergreen Valley College is partnered with Herff Jones to provide you access to a variety of items to celebrate and remember your huge accomplishment! Please read below for more information.

Herff Jones will be present during the Grad Fair on February 13th and February 21st to take Pre-Orders on Cap and Gowns and other related Grad related items, such as class rings and invitations.

Pre-Order ends at 8:59 pm on this day. Early pick-up for pre-ordered items by this date begins April 1, 2024. Place your order at one of the Grad Fairs or visit the Herff Jones link above to get your items early! 

 

Friday, March 29, 2024, at 8:59 pm

Deadline to pre-order to pick up your Cap and Gown on Campus:

*there is no shipping charge to have your pre-order shipped to campus. Pre-orders will be delivered to the EVC Bookstore beginning May 1, 2024.

 

Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 8:59 pm

Deadline to order Home Ship: 

The last day to order your Cap and Gown to have it shipped to your home is Tuesday, April 23, 2024. The shipping cost is $14.90. All orders placed for home shipping will ship within 30 days of the order date. The last date for expedited shipping to your home is Thursday, May 9th. Please note that the shipping cost will increase for this service. Please plan accordingly for processing and delivery time. Remember that graduation is on May 24, 2024. If planning to ship to your home we do not recommend you wait until the deadline to order your cap and gown.

 

Monday, May 6, 2024

The bookstore is expected to have Cap and Gowns and other items such as graduation chords and heritage stoles in stock by this date. Sizing is not always guaranteed so we recommend pre-ordering your Cap and Gown in advance.

Guests and Visitors Information

Welcome! We are so excited to welcome you to the EVC campus as we celebrate the Graduating Class of 2024. Below find important information you will need for attendance.

Please plan to arrive early to park and find your seats

Please Note: Parking Lot 9 will be reserved for Graduate, handicapped, and elderly parking ONLY. All other guests must park in neighboring lots.

Shuttle service for the elderly or other individuals needing assistance will be provided in parking lot 6.

The Commencement Ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. Beginning at 5:45 p.m. entrance to the soccer stadium will be cleared out and guests will not be permitted to enter the soccer stadium until after the procession has ended. We recommend that guests be seated by 5:30 p.m.

Seating

Although there is no reserved seating, tickets are still required to enter the stadium. Guests without tickets will not be permitted to enter the stadium.

Graduates will be seated on the grass field; guests will be seated on a limited number of seats on the field and in the bleachers behind graduates. In the evenings the field area can be windy and there will be no shade.  Please dress appropriately. You may wish to bring sunglasses as the bleachers and seats will be facing the direction of the sun. For safety reasons, guests must remain seated during the duration of the ceremony. As such, we ask that you please refrain from bringing large umbrellas that may block the view of the ceremony for other guests.

Greeters will be posted at the entrance and throughout the bleachers to assist with directions and seating.  If you need accommodations or special seating, please tell a greeter. They will direct you to someone who can assist you.
